Over Mary Gauthier
Saved by a Song
In November 2024 the American singer-songwriter Mary Gauthier is back in the Netherlands with her concert Saved by A Song. Her colleague Jaimee Harris is accompanying her. They play several favorite songs of Gauthier's past eleven records, amongst others Mercy Now. In between the songs Gauthier shares fragments out of her impressive biopgraphy with us. A guitar, a bottle of water and a bar stool is all Gauthier needs for this moving concert.
In the Netherlands Gauthier has a permanent audience and she is a regular guest at Americana festivals such as the Blue Highways Festival in Utrecht, Roots of Heaven in Haarlem and Take Root in Groningen. She also did a few Dutch theatre tours in the past: in 2018-2019 she visited the Netherlands with her concert Rifles & Rosary Beads.
